“Meatball Drive” Woodside, Queens

“52-05 Meatball Drive” is what everyone used to call the front porch of my dad’s childhood home circa the 1970s. All memories, both good and bad began when my grandfather moved my family from Canicattì, Sicily to Woodside, Queens in the 1950s. Unfortunately, I never got to meet him, but the stories of his strong and stubborn Italian household live on through my father’s stories.
